Celebrating 25 years: Minnesota Governor'sFood Safety and Defense Task ForceSince 1990, the Governor’s Food Safety and Defense Task Forcehas continuously met to discuss the issues affecting Minnesota’sfood system. Officially, 16 members consisting of the Commissionerof Agriculture, the Commissioner of Health, representatives of theFood and Drug Administration and the United States Department ofAgriculture, the Agricultural Utilization Research Institute, theUniversity of Minnesota, a local health food inspection agency, andnine additional members representing the public, food, andagriculture industries and groups comprise the Task Force.
